Round table on the topic "The main directions of the legal policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the context of globalization"

December 7, 2017 at the Graduate School of Public Policy and Law of Almaty University Management held a round table on the topic "The main directions of the legal policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the context of globalization", dedicated to Human Rights Day. On December 10, in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The round table meeting was opened with a welcoming speech. Kanagatova Almagul Medikhatovna, First Vice Rector, Director of the Institute of Education, Tumakova Dinara Duisenovna Dean of the GSPP. Invited guests were addressed by Kanafin Daniyar Kairatovich, Ph.D., Associate Professor, member of the Presidium of the Almaty City Bar Association, who highlighted the issues of ensuring the human right to defense and qualified legal assistance. The main problems of human rights protection in practice were touched upon and ways of solving these problems were proposed. Kodar Zamza Mutashovna, Director of the Research Institute for Social and Gender Studies of the Kazakh State Teacher Training Institute, Ph.D. . It was noted that a sufficient legal basis had been created in the country to solve the problems of protecting the violated rights of women, but unfortunately, the mentality of women does not allow to seek protection of their violated rights. Ruslan Muratkhanovich Abdrashev, Doctor of Laws, Associate Professor of the Department of Gi & P, reviewed some aspects of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the main trends of the legal policy of Kazakhstan. The author pointed out the existing gaps in the criminal law and proposed resolution mechanisms. Sylkina Svetlana Mikhailovna, Candidate of Laws, Associate Professor of the International Law Department, Faculty of International Relations, KazNU Al-Farabi, thoroughly described the legal problems of the implementation of the right to medical care in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Proposals are made to improve legislation to ensure the protection of the rights of citizens to medical care. Zhumabayev Kanat Sultangaliyevich First Vice-President of the Office of the International Committee for the Protection of Human Rights at the UN in the Republic of Kazakhstan The UN major general analyzed the protection of the rights of citizens in specific branches of law. Rakhmanova Amina Kurbonaliyevna Master of the Department “GiOPiP” described the mechanisms for protecting the rights of migrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The participant of the round table, Magzamov Dzhanaidar Anatolyevich, senior teacher of the department “GiOPiP” indicated that the legislator should provide information security for the investigation of criminal cases in electronic format. The moderator Mynbayeva Nurgul Baltaevna summed up the results of the round table and the participants expressed their cooperation in the future. The Higher School of Public Policy and Law will undoubtedly continue to develop programs in the specialty "Jurisprudence" in accordance with the trends of the development of law.
