The Advisory Council

Membership in the Association of schools of political management

School of Public Policy and Law in 2014 joined the Association of schools of public administration and public policy with the aim of uniting the capabilities and potential for exchange of experience, innovations in the system of training and re-training of political staff and civil servants.

Purpose:

Providing expert support and effective interaction of state bodies and public organizations, leading experts in the field of education, politics, economy, international relations, development of educational programs of the school, enhancing the competence of school.

Objectives:

to maintain a close link between education, science and practice in the face of state bodies, public organizations and leading experts on the profile;
to establish interaction with Executive bodies on preparation and retraining of personnel in education, the nonprofit sector and public administration that are in demand on the labour market;
to promote the formation of informed public opinion on the role of Almaty Management University for development of state, business and society.

Main functions:

Development and implementation of the work plan of the Council.
Consulting, information and methodological support for the improvement and development of programme content.
Maintaining and strengthening the position of Almaty Management University as the Creator of the new "benchmark" in the Kazakhstan market of the MBA program "Management in the public sector", "Management in education", "Management in non-governmental sector"
The implementation of the principles and forms of implementing social responsibility in curricula and programmes.

In Almaty Management University on July 17, 2015 successfully held its first installation meeting of the Advisory Council of the School of government and public policy.
